Miss Desiree McGowan is a tireless worker and encourager of young musicians. Her patience from seventeen years of experience in teaching band and elementary music makes her a favorite among beginning as well as accomplished student musicians. Her contribution to the WCS Band program has a telling effect on the confidence with which the students perform. She is always available to fill whatever role she is called upon to fill and does so with willing attitude. Miss McGowan is a graduate of Lubbock Christian University with a degree in Music Education.

Hey Band! How is it going? I hope you all had a great summer and you are ready to come back to school. I am very excited about this year because Mr. Smith and I plan on having a great time in band. I am looking forward to a fun-filled year of exciting music with each of you and hope to see you at the Open House we are having August 11, 2008.
