Miss McGowan and I were extremely pleased with the work of everyone in band this year and we look forward to the 2009-2010 school year and the things we should be able to accomplish. We currently have plans for a band camp and are in the process of selecting music for football season.

Work has been done on the schedule to provide as much opportunity as is possible for us to have the possibility of a contest band this coming year and if we do, I know we can all work together and bring great honor to our school for the band. I have also been in contact with the officers of TMEA Region 23 and hope to see some of you participate in the individual region band competition for the state of Texas this next school year. The opportunity to win a chair in one of the region organizations is an awesome experience and with work, the possibility exists for someone to reach higher and even gain acceptance into one of the TMEA All State Organizations.

Ultimately, I hope each of you will work with me as a servant to provide musical support to our sports teams and then share some great music with our community when we present our own concerts to the public this year.
